‘Invasions of the Laundry Monsters’ is an animated sci-fi comedy adventure about an intergalactic battle between aliens that have come to Earth and who travel through washing machines, in which the mysteries of lost socks and unusual spin cycles are explained.

‘Invasions of the Laundry Monsters follows the adventures of small likeable aliens: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow and Doc (the Super Squad) who are the unlikely heroes who become stranded and hiding here on earth, their now adopted home. They travel around the planet through washing machines, doing battle with an enemy race of evil aliens, the Zorgons, who are trying to take-over and ‘dirty-up’ the Earth.

The Background

Far away in the furthest reaches of space a war is being fought between the peaceful races of the Universe and the evil Zorgons who contaminate and destroy everything they touch. The Super Squad, good-guy and gal superhero types, are sent to retrieve the new space-warping technology that the Zorgons have stolen. The only command squad members available are super-strong Red, super-enlarging Blue, super-stretchy Green and super-smart Doc – a band of rookie misfits who although very enthusiastic, are not necessarily super-successful as heroes go. On their way stowaway Yellow, a rather explosive (literally) teenage trainee hero, also joins them.

The Super Squad are sent to find a Zorgon battle cruiser that has been tracked journeying deep into the heart of the Sambacoa System, and which is believed to be holding the stolen technology they are looking for. Unfortunately for our heroes though, The Sambacoa system has been described in space legend as a perilous graveyard, with infamous stories of star ships being consumed whole and never being heard of again!

With surprising skill, The Super Squad overcome the gargantuan teeth ridges of the Sambacoa System, and then find their prey. Sneaking onto the Zorgon battleship, they then discover the Zorgons are all fast asleep in a bizarre hibernation phase, whilst their robot hordes actively look after the ship. The Super Squad must first defeat the Zorgon robot guards to retrieve the space warping technology, in the shape of a small spacecraft. Suddenly the Zorgons begin to wake up, forcing The Super Squad to activate the craft’s secret space warp drive to escape, which plunges them into the vast Vortex Network that is created by spinning objects, such as black holes and … by a very strange coincidence - washing machines on Earth!

As if by fate, then, the Super Squad arrive on earth through a washing machine in a small English launderette. And what’s more they are now tiny in comparison to the hulking humans! A natural result of travelling half way across the cosmos or the result of the Vortex Worm Hole, even the brilliant Doc doesn’t know. Worse still the Super Squad have been followed by a fleet of Zorgon craft!

Realising the damage the Zorgon’s can do, even if they also have been shrunk in size, the Super Squad vow to do everything to help save the earth from the filthy, very eco-unfriendly Zorgons. The battle has now been taken to earth! The Invasions of the Laundry Monsters have begun!
